Margaret Carlson Portfolio Director - Stamford
Margaret M. Carlson serves as portfolio director for RFR Realty, where she manages a seven-building, 1.6 million square foot commercial real estate portfolio located in Stamford, Connecticut. In this capacity, she oversees property management, leasing and marketing for the entire portfolio.
Ms. Carlson has more than 23 years of experience in commercial real estate. Previously, she served for 16 years as managing director for Equity Office Properties, overseeing the seven building Stamford portfolio purchased by RFR Realty in August 2007. Ms. Carlson, who successfully leased more than seven million square feet of space during her tenure at Equity Office Properties, made the transition to RFR Realty following the acquisition.
Ms. Carlson is the former president and a current board member of the Boys and Girls Club of Stamford. She is widely known for her charitable work spearheading the RFR Realty 5K Corporate Challenge, an annual run that has raised more than $1 million for the Boys and Girls Club over the past 12 years.
She also serves as co-chairperson of the annual Stamford Symphony golf outing and the Boys and Girls Club of Stamford golf outing. In 2002, Ms. Carlson was honored as the March of Dimes "Real Estate Person of the Year." In 2004, she received the "Guardian of the Community" award from the Boys and Girls Club of Stamford.
Ms. Carlson is a graduate of the University of Connecticut. She and her family reside in Fairfield.
